John Kooistra

John Kooistra III practices real estate law, banking law, commercial law, commercial litigation and bankruptcy law. He was born in Little Rock and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Arkansas. Mr. Kooistra received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law and was admitted to the Arkansas bar.

Mr. Kooistra is an approved attorney for Lawyer’s Title Insurance Corporation. He is a past lecturer in banking law topics and represents many local and regional banks in bank related issues. He has served on the banking and real estate law committees of the Arkansas Bar Association. He has served as counsel for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission for over twenty years. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America under Banking Law, and in Chambers USA as a “Leader” in the field of Corporate/Commercial Law. He supports Kids Across America, an interdenominational organization for inner-city children. He is an artist whose work has been displayed in local galleries. Mr. Kooistra and his wife Martha Ann have two children, Ann Marie and Samuel and three grandchildren, Ann Elizabeth, Margaret, and Vivian.
